Jiye Kissan was founded in 2021 and operates as a three-way B2B marketplace. It connects farmers to retailers of fresh agricultural products through its own warehousing and fulfillment, as well as working with larger-scale partners. Jiye Kissan cuts the numerous links between production and the ultimate seller, optimizes the time, and utilizes economies of scale to provide higher quality goods at the doorstep of retailers. Sarmayacar joined hands with them in December 2021, to take this mission further.
The founding team demonstrates excellence in their prior endeavors. Ali holds a Business Management degree from BNU and subsequently joined Careem as the 5th employee, where the ride-hailing service grew from 100 to 170,000 rides per day. He is also the third generation of a family established in Agri Marketplace. Ahmed brings with him over 10 years of experience in cross-functional supply chains and holds an MBA from Drexel University. Osama holds a BBA from IBA, after which he has worked for over 5 years in B2B and B2C sales for FMCGs. He later led national operations for SWVL Pakistan and Global Category for SWVL Global.
